About

Learn about native plants  while helping us maintain our demonstration gardens on the Cibolo Nature Center. You'll work alongside experienced members of the Hill Country Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas and help remove invasive plants, water, and trim our plants on our grounds. No experience required - we'll teach you what you need to know! This is also a great way to learn more about what grows in the Texas Hill Country! You can volunteer every 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00am - 12:00pm.

Volunteers should dress for the weather and consider wearing a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray. If you have gardening gloves and hand tools, please bring them. Otherwise, they will be provided for you.

This volunteer opportunity is approved for Master Naturalist volunteer hours.

New Volunteers meet at the Cibolo Nature Center Visitor Center to check in. Remember to bring water with you!

For groups of more than 5 people, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@cibolo.org to ensure we have proper accommodations for your group.
