About

WATCH CDC is sponsoring a vaccine clinic on Jan 18th from 11am-3pm! We are very excited to have this opportunity for the Waltham community, we are promoting it to our clients who represent many populations including low-income, Spanish-speaking, and immigrant communities. We will also be registering people to vote at this event and distributing free bags of hygiene products.

We are looking for about four volunteers for specific roles at the clinic

  1. Intake registration (1) - someone to check folks in, gathering their contact information and reviewing the necessary health information before people receive their vaccine. Training and assistance will be provided.
  2. Post vaccine observer (1) - assist by monitoring those who just got vaccinated, ensuring they do not develop a reaction to the vaccine in the 15 minutes after they received the vaccine. Training and assistance will be provided- health care professionals will be on site.
  3. Licensed vaccinators (2) - if you are a health care professional such as an EMT, licensed nurse, or medical student trained in distributing vaccines we would greatly appreciate your services!! . From sign ups, it seems like the demand for vaccines is greater than the capacity of the two vaccinators we have coming to the event so we are looking for more helping hands.
