STEAMsport, Inc. is currently seeking enthusiastic, attentive part-time STEAM instructors to expose, educate, and support elementary, middle and high school students during the summer months. Instructors will provide in-person STEAM learning and activities by executing a provided curriculum in environments including schools, summer camps and community centers in the downtown/southside Atlanta area..   

*****Local travel is required, daily hours may vary*****

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Pass a criminal background and drug screening check

  • Pass a Motor Vehicles Record and have own transportation

  • Have a working knowledge of computers

  • Exemplify ideals, leadership qualities

  • Have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Have ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, problem solve, manage time effectively

  • Be able to maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff and students

  • Be able to provide sound, caring and positive leadership for students

  • Able to maintain a safe and fun environment for children

  • Be able to recognize and implement safety standards in all program activities

  • Attend training sessions and all staff trainings

Summer STEAM Instructor Responsibilities:
  1. Leading elementary, middle and high school students in STEAM related learning

  2. Ensuring students maintain health and safety protocols

  3. Monitoring students to ensure they get the best out of their experience

  4. Reporting any incidents to administrative personnel 

  5. Participating in training sessions and staff meetings

STEAM Instruction areas include:


Computer Coding 

Media Production

Fashion Entrepreneurship

Human Biology

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in one or more of the following areas preferred but not required:  

  • Coding languages

  • Media Production

  • Beginner Robotics

  • Fashion Design

  • Human Biology

Instructors will be trained to provide instruction in each STEAM activity. Instructors should be upbeat, positive, proactive, and caring while focusing on giving students a hands-on, fun, learning experience. Average hours per week range from 8-12. Time and length of classes will vary based on location. Living expense stipend provided.
