About

The Springfield Symphony is delighted to offer the world premiere of Daijana Wallace’s beautiful Rhapsody for Cello and Orchestra, featuring our own Principal Cellist Daniel Ketter. And we’ll play Sibelius’s Second Symphony, which Sibelius described as “a confession of the soul.” The symphony is grandiose, profound, and ecstatic, and its love themes range from love of country to a meditation on Don Juan, the notorious Italian lover.
The Springfield Symphony will need volunteers to help with the following:

  • Taking pictures for Springfield Symphony attendees at our step-and-repeat photo opportunity
  • Setting up food and drink at intermission reception for VIP donors and sponsors
  • Assisting staff members with additional concert needs

All volunteers should arrive at 6:30 PM. Volunteering will last until no later than 9:00 PM. If interested, please reach out to Jennifer Cotner-Jones, Executive Director, at executivedirector@springfieldmosymphony.org or Rachel Lambert, Marketing Manager, at marketingmanager@springfieldmosymphony.org.
